| ![]() A Letter From the CEO
There are stringent rules and regulations that must be followed in order to maintain hospital accreditations and licensures. I want to take this opportunity to toot our own horn and commend the staff at Central Montgomery Medical Center (CMMC) for a job well done. At CMMC we believe in "patient readiness." In other words, on every given day, we are providing the best care in the safest environment for our patients. We are ready for inspectors at any time, and we are proud of our facility as a quality healthcare provider. One such survey and accreditation is awarded by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission has been accrediting hospitals for more than 50 years. Its accreditation is a nationwide seal of approval that indicates a hospital meets high performance standards. They evaluate and accredit nearly 15,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the U.S., and facilities are re-evaluated every three years. The Joint Commission surveyors walk through the doors of the hospital with no advance notice and spend several days examining the facility, the policies and procedures, and the quality of healthcare provided. Our Joint Commission surveyors arrived in February -- and we were ready! We had an excellent survey and have renewed our status of "accredited" by The Joint Commission. I encourage you to check their Web site at www.jcaho.org and click on the Quality Check link where you can review and compare hospitals. Not only did CMMC retain its Joint Commission accreditation, we also have an accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer for our cancer program and an accreditation by the College of American Pathologists for our laboratory. Attaining these high standards takes commitment, and I am proud of our employees who are dedicated to making this hospital a place of excellence. When you choose CMMC and walk through our doors for your healthcare, you can rest assured that we have passed the most stringent tests, and we are providing quality healthcare for you and your family. Sincerely,
