AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION COURSES
Adult Heartsaver AED CPR
Basic course in resuscitating individuals ages 8 and up. One-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR, relief of foreign body airway obstruction and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) will be taught.
American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course
Participants must have a current Healthcare Provider CPR card, demonstrate good mannequin skills and possess favorable teaching qualities. The course is open to medical and non-medical persons who have
time to commit to the CPR program.
CPR for Teens
Many teens have responsibilities to care for others but lack CPR skills. Are you prepared to save a life if someone stops breathing? This course is an orientation to CPR and is NOT a certifying or credentialing course. A participation card will be provided.
CPR Renewal Class/Community Level
A renewal class for people with a current Heartsaver or Pediatric CPR card.
Healthcare Provider Level CPR
Comprehensive, eight-hour program for nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals and aspiring CPR instructors. Training includes infant, child and adult CPR skills, as well as the use of a bag-mask device. A bi-valved mask is provided.
Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal
This refresher class includes hands-on AED practice for those with a current Healthcare Provider CPR card. Bring a bi-valved mask or purchase one at class for an additional $15.
Heartsaver First Aid
This new eight-hour American Heart Association course is designed to teach rescuers the knowledge and psychomotor skills they need to recognize emergencies at work. Receive training in first aid, adult CPR and the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Meets OSHA regulations.
Pediatric/Infant and Child CPR
This four-hour course is designed for parents and caregivers of children from birth to age eight.
AMERICAN SAFETY & HEALTH INSTITUTE CLASSES
Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Course
This eight-hour course is designed to prepare sitters 11 years old and older for the challenge of babysitting infants. Certified instructors will address personal and child safety, accident prevention and emergency first aid.
Basic First Aid
Learn accident prevention and emergency care for bleeding, shock, fractures, burns, eye injuries, poisoning and more. You must hold a current CPR card to be accepted into this four-hour class.
