Blood Pressure Screening – FREE
High blood pressure often goes undetected until a health crisis occurs. Unrecognized and untreated, high blood pressure can lead to stroke, heart attack or kidney failure. Since it can be controlled with diet, exercise and/or medication, keep a check on your blood pressure to help reduce your health risks.

Cholesterol Screening
Total Cholesterol (TC) or TC/High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Ratio

High cholesterol is one of the major modifiable risk factors for heart attack and stroke. Test results will be ready in five minutes. Information about exercise and ways to reduce dietary fat and cholesterol will be available.

Prostate Cancer Screening – FREE

The North Penn Visiting Nurse Association offers an annual prostate cancer screening for men 50 years or older who are not under the care of a urologist and did not have a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood test in the past year. Men with a family history of prostate cancer and African American men are at high risk and should begin screening at age 40. The three-part program includes an educational briefing, a PSA blood test and a digital rectal exam. Participating urologists are David Altman, MD, Lee Blatstein, DO, Stuart Kremer, DO and Ronald Meltzer, MD.
